UK folk artist Lucy Rose has announced headline dates for June 2019, bringing her acclaimed songwriting to Brisbane’s The Foundry on Tuesday 4 June, Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Wednesday 5 June, Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on Thursday 6 June, and Fremantle’s Freo.Social on Saturday 8 June.
Last in Australia in 2018, supporting Ben Folds on his national tour, Lucy Rose wowed audiences with a pair of intimate Sydney and Melbourne headline shows. Earning new fans from her engaging performances, Lucy returns to showcase songs from her fourth album No Words Left, released on 22 March.
Coming out of a year Lucy Rose describes as “one of the hardest times of her life” has fuelled a more probing type of album. But this was no conscious decision. Rather, it was just part of surviving. The music is so raw that - ironically, with for a record with a title like No Words Left- it does much of the talking. Lucy has created something touching, relatable, and truly special.

Lucy Rose’s last record, 2017’s Something’s Changing, marked the start of a new chapter; after walking away from a major label deal she entered into a new partnership with Communion. That record offered a chance to return to the more candid style of her acclaimed debut, Like I Used To, and to build on it via 70s flourishes and new reference points.
2015’s Work It Out and the debut album, Like I Used To, complete her emotive songbook which includes classics like ‘Shiver’ and ‘Middle of the Bed’, and has amassed in excess of 70 million Spotify streams.
Lucy Rose has supported Paul Weller, performed and recorded with Bombay Bicycle Club, and toured the world-over, most notably embarking on an innovative fan-booked tour of South America.
Sublime, melodic, and thought-provoking, the music of Lucy Rose will endear audiences on her return Australian visit this June.
